IGEL Technology and DigitalPersona, a partner for biometric identity verification solutions, announced they have integrated their technologies to allow the use of fingerprint biometrics as an authentication credential to virtual applications hosted on a Citrix XenApp server. IGEL Linux now supports the management of users’ credentials on Citrix XenApp servers. The use of the fingerprint readers connected through a USB drive to IGEL thin clients provides roaming workforces with authentication when accessing virtual desktops.
