Identive secures new terminal for San Diego airport

Identive, a provider of solutions and services for the identification, security and RFID industries, has expanded the implementation of its Hirsch access control system at San Diego International Airport to provide integrated physical access and security for the airport’s newly redesigned Terminal 2, known as the ‘Green Build.’ Since its first installation 15 years ago, the Hirsch access control system has grown with the airport and its evolving security and performance needs, according to aviation security at San Diego International Airport. San Diego is one of more than a dozen general aviation airports in the U.S. for which Identive is providing integrated physical access and security, according to the company. Identive’s access control system secures more than 200 key entry points and restricted areas at the new terminal, which is used by 10,000 airline and airport employees and contractors. Known as the ‘Green Build’ for its focus on environmental sustainability.
