Nicholas Ficinus – ABnote Australasia

He succeeds Justin D’Angelo after overseeing some significant challenges over the last three years, as a key member of the management team that successfully. In his role he is responsible for the sales and operations of the Australasian arm of the ABnote Group, which encompasses eight manufacturing sites and an additional two sales offices in the region. He is also responsible for directing all product development and marketing. Previously, Nicholas Ficinus served as General Manager Cards and Documents at Abnote and prior to that as Accountant at Associated Retailers.

Amanda North – AOptix

In this role, Amanda North will lead marketing strategy, PR, branding, advertising, website design and development, channel marketing and lead generation. She also will work closely with product marketing to ensure coordination of marketing activities across the company. As VP of Corporate Communications at Splunk, she helped prepare the company for its successful IPO in 2012. As VP of Corporate Marketing and New Ventures, North also prepared Calico Commerce to go public in 1999. Over her career, she has worked with a range of fast growth companies in marketing leadership roles.

George McClurg – Cross Match Technologies

He assumed the role following the retirement of former president and long-time chief technology officer, Jack Carver. George McClurg joined Cross Match from Elliott Energy Systems in 1998 and has been working side-by-side with Jack Carver for over 13 years so will continue in industry technology innovation and development of biometric identity management solutions to governments, law enforcement agencies, and businesses around the world.

Timothy Cheung – Datacard Group
President, Datacard China

Most recently he was president of SAP in China, and previously spent 22 years with IBM – where he held a variety of leadership positions, including vice president and general manager, Global Technology Services for IBM, Greater China. He also held leadership functions in the financial services sector during his tenure with IBM. Timothy Cheung will report directly to the Datacard’s CEO and be based out of its Beijing office, where he will be responsible for overseeing all sales, marketing, engineering, manufacturing and supply chain in that region as he positions Datacard for additional growth in China and Hong Kong.

John Tonkiss – HRS

John Tonkiss succeeds Neil Norman who has served Human Recognition Systems as CEO since founding the company in 2001. Norman is to assume a new strategic position within the company as founder, vice chairman and head of innovation. Incoming chief executive Tonkiss started his career at Lucas Industries as an Electronics and Software Engineer within their automotive business, before moving on to a number of operational and plant managerial roles. In 2001 he joined Unite Group to set up its modular manufacturing facility and most recently as chief operating officer.

Rob Zivney – IDTP

Rob Zivney has more than 35 years of executive management and technical marketing experience in the access security, building control, secure identification and IT markets. He joins IDTP from the Identive Group where he served as VP of its Government and Standards Division involved in global initiatives developing secure identification programs for physical access, logical access, RFID, and Near Field Communications (NFC). Prior to its purchase by Identive, Zivney was with Hirsch Electronics as VP of Marketing,

Etienne Veber – Precise Biometrics

He will be based at Precise Biometrics’ US subsidiary and have global responsibility for sales, marketing, business development and product management. Etienne Veber has a strong management background from various US companies. These include being President/ CEO at Learning Resources, President/CEO at Merisant and President at NutraSweet Company, a subsidiary of Monsanto Corporation.

Sylvain Auchère – SPS
Sales Director, France

Sylvain Auchère started his career in the smart card industry in 1997 at Gilles Leroux, where he has developed a diversified customer base and structured the service groups. Sylvain joined Datacard Group in 2003 as EMEA Service & Solutions Manager and held this position until 2006. Then, he was appointed as acting General Manager for Solutions in EMEA where his group implemented end-to-end projects for financial service bureaus as well as large government programs until 2008. Furthermore, at Datacard, Sylvain developed the sales and partner channels in Africa, the Middle East, India and France including global accounts. At SPS, Sylvain Auchère is now in charge of further developing sales in France, where SPS already is already recognized by many large players in the secure transactions and ID card industry.
